Revelry ensues!

After a major setback we would rather forget, our hardware and software purchases are now complete:

1 Brand new Mac mini

1 2ndhand ipod Touch

1 unity3d license + Unity iphone

1 cinema4d license

2 books

Again, thanks to MyMicroFund.com for making this possible ahead of our original schedule. Now we can go full steam ahead! but first, how do you alt-tab in Mac?

MyMicroFund Powerup Obtained!

mymicrofund-banner

We are excited to announce that MyMicroFund has granted us funding for our upcoming projects! We are proud to be part of the pioneering ventures given a boost by this wonderful initiative by a mysterious Mr. Alex.

What is MyMicrofund? Its a loan fish as opposed to a loan shark, harmless and beautiful and if you want, you can cook it for nourishment. But if you take care of it and have it breed with other fish, it will multiply and fill the seas. But i digress. Here is the less loopy description straight from the fish’s err… horse’s mouth.

MyMicroFund.com is an experiment with my own money. The mandate is to grow the fund by funding ethical grassroots ventures in the hope that recipients will ‘pay it forward’.

Investments are in the form of grants or goodwill loans (basically you pay back what you can). Funding ranges between USD $500 to $3,000. Nothing is legally binding and everything is based on mutual trust and due diligence.

Either it’s too idealistic or a start of something far-reaching in the business world. Regardless, we hope to be one of the success stories when that time arrives. In the meantime, Cavalcade Games just got a powerup and we can now break those goddamn bricks! On to the adventure!

Now for that, flower powerup…

What’s Happenin’?

I will try to keep updates on the company at least twice a month. A few things are new these past few days;

  • We are well into the development of the website’s front end. It will be entirely in Flash (after all we are a flash shop) with an intuitive control scheme that hopefully users will like. Interactivity and embedded games are the core of the concept. We are rolling out the alpha version in a couple of days so watch out for that.
  • We have just set up our facebook page besides a few items there is not much but please join up if you’ve played and liked our games. You can click on the banner on the right to go to the page. See you there.
  • A couple of fans emailed us to let us know how they liked our newest game. Thanks aniyha and medhr. So saccharin-like of you.
  • EcoSaviors just got released by Spilgames on their portals. We only have mochi tracking the one at a10.com and it got 60k to 70k plays on the 1st day! and its now averaging 25k / day.  We passed 12 versions of it so i hope it did good numbers on the other portals too.
  • We have purchased 3 new domains for our upcoming projects. Exciting times!

That’s it for now. Catch you later kids!

EcoSaviors 1.3

Hillbillies are not as popular as before

Hillbillies are not as popular as before

We just updated EcoSaviors.

1.3 changelist

  • fixed major bug.  Project screen after stage 6 obstructing popup ok button, effectively stopping players from progressing. this only happens when you retried somewhere in the stages before stage 7.
  • changed in-game bgm to something more neutral. the game is now 80% less hillbilly.
  • increased hitbox of the 3 characters. Visual boundaries now match the actual hitbox
  • adjust speed of packets
  • increase score value of regular and time packets. the game should be at least 1.5x easier

Thanks to the Kong and Whirled players for pointing out some bugs.
