There WILL be more Iphone models.
sexier and cheaper? only in gadgets, sadly
Here are a few choice quotes from an article about the recent meeting between Apple’s senior company officials and analysts for Oppenheimer, a large investment house;
“iPhone is still in its early days and could gain share by: providing more functionality; lowering prices; growing geographically; or segmenting the market with different models.”
“Apple said that one thing would be a constant: iPhone will remain a software centric device.”
Keeping in mind the discovery of references to multiple new iPhone models in the company’s pre-release builds of iPhone Software 3.0. It is but confirmed that the Iphone will now broaden its target market by offering cheaper models with different configuration and under different carriers. This can only mean one thing for us developers.
